So how long have you been doing this, and how did it come about that the RecordsInOrder Profit Consultants provide the ultimate solution for profit increase to business owners through tax strategy, accounting and consultation?

When I was still in college, a good friend and I had a great eagerness to go into business. I had nothing but confidence that I would make a ton of money. I had connected with a new idea for youth games and entertainment, and I was going to make it big. Of course, at that time, I had no idea what it was like be in business, and what challenges lay ahead.I went to a tax practitioner to get advice and to have my taxes prepared as a business owner. He prepared my taxes, I got a small refund and that was it. No advice, no input, no strategy — but, yes, a small tax refund.

By the following year when I went to the same practitioner to have my taxes done, the new idea had not worked, the business was closed and the equipment was disposed of, and I was back at the university full-time.

I’ll never forget what I heard in that meeting with my supposed “trusted advisor”.

I owed taxes! What? I lost money and I owe taxes?!

The only explanation I got from him was: ”Well, if you had done such and such, you’d be getting a refund, but it’s too late now.”

I was helpless because the time had passed for me to make a different tax move.

And I thought to myself, “You mean to tell me that you knew something that would have saved me money, but you didn’t advise me of it?!”

I’ll never forget that hollow feeling, the “what-if-I-had-known” disappointment I felt after being let down by someone who I trusted with my finances.

I was utterly disappointed that a person with such a fiduciary duty not only left me ‘stranded’, but also did not take responsibility for his failure.

I was always good at math, and I became interested in tax planning while at the local university. I looked into the CPA field, and soon had set my sights on that goal.

It was then that I made my life-long commitment to be a profit consultant that gets the needed information out to business owners to help make them more successful, to make it easier for them to keep their records in order, to use the tax law to the greatest extent possible to save taxes, and to improve profits.

That commitment has been a driving force from that day I stepped back into my university tax class and has continued throughout my entire career.

I graduated working two jobs and supporting a family, and was recruited by one of the largest nationwide firms, then two years later worked for one of the smallest local firms while earning my CPA license.

Since then, I have been the profit consultant for literally thousands of business owners to fulfill my ongoing commitment to bring profit improvement, tax savings, peace of mind, more time, and a smoothly running record keeping system to small business.
